Well, Miggie, this very little to do with the chune, which we've grown rather fond of, despite the stealth cowbells, but it is slightly Stereogummy, so we think you'll like it.
So we're listening to this Stereogum-pimped Ted Leo version of "Since You've Been Gone", which segues into "Maps" by the Yeah-Yeah-Yeahs. And I remember how Spin was alll going on about how the YYYs came from nowhere with Maps.
And I was listening to the acoustic version, and i thought "this sounds like it should have Chrissie Hyde on it instead". Now this might be a very old or obvious insight, but I feel like I've been duped. Was the whole YYYs thing a way to get kids to buy Pretenders-like music again?

Dunno. Could be. I can see Karen Ho as a mock Chrissie. And like eight other people she's channeling.

It's spelled Chrissie Hynde moron.
O benevolent webmaster, I have a correction for you too. Karen O is what you're after. Unless you're thinking of Sandra Oh.

I love you secret indie pedant man, and stand corrected. But I think you might have fallen into one of Miguel's legendary "irony traps" with the spelling of the top YYY sqauwktrix' name.
