It's got two R's on the LP. The pic on the left is probably a bootleg anyway. Sending her a link to Gomma probably won't help much as they didn't bother actually licensing the track, but pulled one of those shady "we made all efforts to find, etc etc, if anyone knows them get in touch blah blah" deals. One member popped up on ILX with some info which was pretty intersting, and word had already gotten out that the real person behind the record was Cleveland radio personality Lynn Tolliver.

I would have to say thought, between the My Humps appropriation, recent bootleg mixes/edits, and some current rappers stealing the chorus, I Need a Freak is probably a better known song then If I Gave You a party, which is certainly my fave.

I saw drummer/vocalist Dale Jackson's comments, even got those images from his collection of photos.

Thanks for these I haven't heard them before.
There's two versions of 'If I gave you a party'
The Syrup version that appears on the Anti NY comp and the original version on the 12"
Do you have a good copy of the original 'If I gave you a party' because my copy is pretty bad quality.
I would be great if you could post it.
I've started my own music blog, the ill-ec-tro-nic check it out and please add me to your links. Thanks.
