oh, this all makes sense now. Film Forum is in the middle of a Godard fest. I think Godard once set a film in a not so nice Paris suburb.

A lovely story. Romance takes all types... but that sounds more like an Eric Rohmer film...Godard contemporary with less action than the slug crossing the road. But lots of weird dialogue. Anyway,, can't blame you for listening into that conversation.

Eavesdropping on First Dates is one of my favorite pastimes, and this one is hysterical - I'm jealous that I didn't get to witness it first hand!!!
