Nzingha's Soapbox

Well I hope the news of Umar is good?
I did all that driving last year. decided to home school all of em this year and that doesnt work either.
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I hired a husband/wife team to 'school' the kids. He picks up Muhammad and takes him to his house or out and around while his wife comes here and teaches my younger 3 and I teach my older 2. I call it teaching the older 2 but in all reality it is kind of independent study cause my nerves are shot, and everytime anyone asks for help I scream GET YOUR DICTIONARY! Yusef (darling 3 yr old monster) who was the snyper that shot my last nerve, happily gets up and on the bus by 7 and back by 2, so those are our school hours.
Of course if he was here, there would be no school of any sort since he is unable to get along with any of his family members but loves all strangers at school, slam me, bam me, I dont care............
But just FYI when I do my errands I completely ignore all idiots on road (as much as possible) and put on some lovely nature sounds CD that is supposed to calm my nerves, I pump the volume up like it was Madonna so I dont have to listen to the idiots on the road honking and cursing at everyone and everything. And I do so with a smile on my face cause this is my only relaxation time. Smiling when everything sucks is actually very theraputic!
I still have way to much on my plate and the constant smile I decided to plant on my face actually looks more like a serial killer that just ate his last victim. Oh the Joys of Motherhood.

Gravatar Nzingha--glad to know where you are! That driving life would drive me over the edge I'm sure. Can't you get a loaner--driver, nanny--for a month from someone who is going to be away and doesn't want to pay the help to do nothing? That was one standard practice in Hong Kong.

UmMuhammed--I know you are suffering but that was hilarious. Both you and Nzingha have mastered the highest, best psychological defense mechanism which is humour! LOL

Gravatar ok.. am I the only one here thinking Umm Muhammad needs a serious vacation break alone?? lol.. maybe a day at the spa will center your inner self again I think I'll need that soon too

chiara- I won't hire a temp nanny and leave them with the kids. I have the maid here who I don't trust let alone some stranger. I will see how the first week goes if I totally loose my mind I'll tell Mr. Man enough is enough and he needs to send a driver over in the afternoons.

We'll see how it goes, today Abla is leaving.. she keeps trying to tell me it would be better to let Umar go with her during the week and Mr. Man can bring him over on the weekends. Sounds selfless right?? LOL she is going to miss that boy.

Gravatar Nzingha--yes and yes. Um Muhammad needs and deserves a vacation; and, better a temp driver than a temp nanny. I would only hire a temp nanny that you and the kids know and like well from frequent contact with her and her regular employer, but the driver is a more neutral hire and to do the multiwhammy afternoon pickup would be great.

Gravatar woow, seems so hecktic, we are not allowed to drive yet but if it sounded like this , then hell no, lol.
well it's tough being a mom, but a beautiful job, is not it ?

Gravatar Muse- See I said before after driving here in Bahrain after not driving in Saudi. .. that driving is over rated lol. I mean I miss not running small errands and just having the driver do it.. I miss not having to go fill up gas in the car.. I miss not having to put groceries in the car and taking them out.. I miss not having to clean the inside of the car after way too many kids. I'm not seeing the whole independence thing.. cause right now I'm just a driver lol

Yea.. motherhood has its perks.. driving like a loon is not one of them

Gravatar That is one crazy schedule Nzingha! My one suggestion is take a deep breathe and realize one day the kids will be grown and out on their own...enjoy them now!
