Hilarious! I just had a walk down memory lane with that scene from "Fried Green Tomatoes" in a suburban parking lot with my mother behind the wheel. The offender was an elderly woman driving a gas-guzzling SUV too big for her driving abilities. Idiots--they give women drivers a bad name. 
That's one of my favorite movie scenes too!
I wish I could understand why some people are so inconsiderate of everyone else...

I hate yelling. Just let idiots be. She would have figured it out eventually (somebody else would have told her the same you did, I guess)
Nuri- I wouldn't have yelled if she just would have said "oh sorry I didn't notice" or anything but state it was a parking spot. Letting off a bit of steam does a blood pressure good
Nzingha, you remembered the Kathy Bates parking lot scene! LOL! I love, love that scene especially now since I am older! Actually a person can devote a whole blog about bad drivers, bad driving, etc. from just being here in the Gulf. They would have a different story to tell everyday! LOL

'Stupid' driver blocked ambulance
ohhhhh she tops the list!!! Yes they tend not to move properly when they see an ambulance here and yes they will 'ride' with the ambulance as it makes it way through traffic but to overtake it, than slow down, then flip them off?? And she wasn't given jail time??? UGGGH
Nzingha: the reason, I suspect, was that the patient died anyway, not because of her stupidity. If her behaviour had contributed to the patient's death, she would have gone to jail. But I would like to see tougher action on stupid driving and less on petty speed violations.
Given the statistical likelihood of reviving an elderly person who has a cardiac arrest outside of a hospital, it would be very hard to prove the "moronic" driver caused her death, so the Judge did what he could with what he had.
And her state of stress explained the obscene gestures and laughing how?
Some people want you to cuss them out.
