Did you notice that it said they arrested both of them. I don't know if it was meant like that, if she was actually taken to the slammer for wrongdoing or if they meant there was police involvement...maybe lost in translation?
SSF- I would think that she was taken to the police station. I seriously doubt she was 'arrested' as we know it.
Maybe he had his hand over her mouth to keep her from screaming, and she had to bite him.
It's also strange that they were referred to as a "couple".
Isn't it always the woman's fault for well, being a woman! I think a good kick on you know where would put a stop to these men. Btw,on youtube, there's a picture, though not clear of women beating up a guy in saudia! :D

That's why I am a firm beleiver that EVERY woman should at least know basic self defense.
I do not go ONE DAY without practicing some form of punches and kicks (and all my girls do them with me). You have to always be mentally and physically prepared, esp as a woman.
I always walk with my keys sticking out between my fingers too. That way, you always have an instant weapon to take out some ones eyes, if you have to.
Maybe I will do a post about some simple, easy techniques that women can do.
The comment above made me smile.. I started walking that way w/ my keys after I was mugged my first time over seas. Esp if I'm walking at night.
As for the biting.. I guess it depends on the situation. If that was all she could do, at least she didn't give up right? I'd have kneed him though.
"Arrested" in many places of the world doesnt mean what it does here in the USA. In this case it probably meant nothing more than taking her into the police station for her statement.
My wife told me of walking in Jeddah, being obviously and heavily pregnant, and STILL having aggressive men trying to hit on her. It was so bad one time a female family member took off her shoe and started chasing a young man cursing him.
LOL........I wish I had that one on video!
In all seriousness, you know how bad some of the men are when they will still go after a very pregnant woman whom they cannot even see because she is wearing niqab.
