Nzingha's Soapbox

salam

why didn't he just rent a bigger apartment? i have to admit that i am a wife that doesn't listen to her husband. when he tries to explain or suggest things i am adamant that i know what i am talking about. in the end, i think to myself "i should have listened to him."

Gravatar ilka- because he set an unrealistic budget. And add in the economic slow down ready to hit here in the EP in a big way he wasn't about to double his budget for a bigger place. So whatever, it is only on the weekends.

And I would listen to mr. man if he made sense. Usually it is me that is right and him ending up annoyed because he can't admit it.

Gravatar Alhumdiallah, you are maintaining--flourishing even--your sense of humor! At some point you do have to just let go and enjoy the insanity.
Love and Peace

Gravatar Justice or divine retribution? I am always amazed by the appropriateness of the latter (like the medical fact that a man is more likely to die of a heart attack while making love to his mistress than to his wife). Certainly, you deserve full credit for the "retributive justice" achieved by having them move the furniture around. Who knows it might have fit, right?

Ahh the kitchen--the great mysterious room to most men; looking forward to pictures. Will the children and Mr. Man remain bedless, will the rest of the furniture fit, will the whole family go on umrah until their clothes find a home? Enquiring minds want to know!

Btw, as good a time as any to compliment you on being a special mom to a special needs child! I am sure that as well as raising a beautiful Umar you are helping other mothers in the Gulf with information, resources, and attitude. Special needs = extra needs for baby and family.

PS
Yay, the preview tells me I finally made an emoticon--blog commenting skills moving ahead by leaps and bounds.

Gravatar You have alot of patience Nzingha. It is stressful not to be settled fully. I get that well. As much of a free spirit I am, I still like stability.

Gravatar LOL

LOL

LOL

I just love those moments in life when your husband thinks he knows it all and later finds himself scratching his head in the middle of some mess that he created while us wifeys get to stand back with a sly grin on our face and say "TOLD YA SO!"

And the fact that he had to change into an ihram?! ROFL!

That must've been priceless!

Gravatar Ohh wow..I feel stressed just reading this..what an adventure..!

I cant wait to see pictures..maybe we can give our ideas or possible suggestions about furniture?

When there is a will there is a way!! (I hope!)

Gravatar you made me laugh! after reading all the news which can drive one insane, its refreshing to read your blog! write more often!!!

Gravatar It's Tuesday, any signs of life? Hope it went well yesterday, that you are getting settled, and that Mr Man remains alive, if humbled, and has not been posted anywhere in boxes, carton or plastic

Gravatar If it makes you feel any better, my hubby doesn't listen to me either. He thinks he knows it all, so I just close my mouth and try to refrain from saying "I told you so" when things don't go exactly the way he said they would. Men!

Gravatar ok i'm still alive.. barely. Every single portion of my body aches. I do have pics of what I walked into yesterday but I have no energy to update and blog. Maybe tomorrow

Gravatar Thanks for the sign . No pressure to blog, looking forward to whenever. I once moved on Halloween. After watching me, my husband, a friend, her husband, and my parents unload a U-haul into our new townhouse, the crazy lady next door asked me if I was going to give out Halloween candy in about an hour !?!? (signs of neighbour antics to come ). Take care.

Gravatar Ditto. I do hope there are no justifiable homicides being committed
