hey! this is ross campbell, The Abandoned's creator. i couldn't find your e-mail address, so i'm leaving a comment here. anyways, my Tokyopop editor found your review and sent it to me. thanks so much for the stellar response, i really appreciate it!! it's great hearing your thoughts and everything, glad you liked the book enough to actually write all that stuff, heh heh. although my other series, Wet Moon, is a bit different from The Abandoned, i hope you'll check that out, too (there are 2 volumes thus far).

as for The Abandoned 2, i sorta quit Tokyopop after the first book, i had a crummy experience with them (requiring a long rant to explain, heh). but i'm pitching the sequel's material to another publisher, but unfortunately without Rylie because Tokyopop owns the rights (d'oh!). so hopefully that'll get picked up, and also hopefully in the future i'll be able to get the rights to Rylie back and she'll make a triumphant return in my third zombie apocalypse book. keep your fingers crossed!
