Could you not just get the information that the microsoft site requires your customers to fill in. Give your customers an alternative method to supply you with this information, then fill in the information on your customers behalf on the microsoft site? A bit more work for you, but saves your customers getting pissed off.
Actually, Stewart, that isn't allowed -- probably to prevent gaming the system, Microsoft requires that the customers enter it themselves.
We have gotten a bit of support on the issue; they're allowing our customers to e-mail information directly to Microsoft, and they'll enter it. It's certainly a better solution, but that's not to say the situation on the whole is acceptable.
