I enjoyed your post and couldn't agree more on your last point. I first learned of the quake from Scoble and loved all his updates. It was great to keep working and reading his tweets as they popped up (via twhirl). Talk about real-time news in a distributed network. I love it and twitter is fast-becoming a news source for me.
