Gravatar Why, Jack? Why?

Gravatar Dude, I thought you were gonna write about how I starfucked Jack all over Memphis two weeks ago...

Gravatar I could have, but I would just be repeating myself.

Gravatar Scenestars- Gods of Blogs. Thank you!!! I can't wait to buy this album!

Gravatar Personally, I reall like. The falsetto works. I wasn't sure...

Gravatar this isn't 1/10 of what "7 Nation Army" was.

Gravatar i love the spilt second of "coo coo"

Gravatar P.S. Did the whole album leak?

Gravatar ummm.... does the world really NEED a garage rock version of The Darkness?

Gravatar a) The whole album didn't "leak"
b) The whole album doesn't sound like this
c) I hear a lot of people talking like A&R people at record labels here... if they did the same thing every time, they'd be accused of sounding exactly the same. They do something different and it gets compared to everything else they did.

These poor kids can't win for losing.

Gravatar kick azz. everything jack touches turns to gold, or in this case, blue.
heard his work with loretta? ya should.

Gravatar sitting patiently awaiting the coldplay leak

Gravatar sweet!!!!!!!!!!!

Gravatar Thanks a lot for this.
It's different of course, but I'm liking it I think. Cheers.

Gravatar i'd just like to say that this song makes me wanna throw up all over my grandma (in a good way)

Gravatar wow. nice. thanks EJ

Gravatar it's so leslie

Gravatar INSANELY wicked song. Coming from a long time stripes fan, it's extremely good. Nice to see them further themselves as a band while saying AWESOME

Gravatar I love the white stripes...the new sound does sound a lot like electric six, it's a completely new move for the stripes..it kicks ass.

Gravatar please please please help me. i want to hear this so single soooo bad.
where do i go to hear it.

Gravatar sorry, i figured it out. DUH!!

Gravatar From another comment box:

if you play this song for your plants, they'll probably grow faster, and also probably grow big enough to kick your ass

I played this song for my plant, and it ate my friend Rick Moranis.

Gravatar HAHAHAAHA!

Gravatar p.s.
god damn ebay - i just got this email

*fist*

Gravatar since when did jack white subscribe to the lenny kravitz textbook on (re)writing rock?

Gravatar RAWK! It's still Jack's guitar and Meg banging away behind him...still the truth and the truth will set you free.

Gravatar Death From Above 1979 has already done this... and did it far better. I'd be ballsy enough to guess that Jack White ran his guitar through an analog synth to get the effect on his guitar... which is exactly how DFA1979 gets that wonderful tone out of their basslines.

Gravatar This is pitifully bad, and devoid of any kind of imagination whatsoever. When I heard the opening notes of 'Seven Nation Army' I knew could how incredible the entire song would be.

'Blue Orchid' is just an Electric Six record. Same bland riff and lifeless lyrics.

Gravatar Needs more cowbell.

Gravatar umm, are we sure it's "wild orchid" i can swear it sounds like "white orchid" and with the whole color thing it makes sense

Gravatar It could well be. It's hard to discern, but yes it could be "white" instead of "wild".

Gravatar from album to album they change, every time its better.

i heard this, and its sweet, no way is it a step down

Either a step sideways to something differnt but still awesome, or forward

Gravatar Jack told me he's brushin' you hatas off. hahahahhahahahahahhaaa. It's still good. I know it's traumatic to some of you when bands are creative and mix things up, but that's all it is...change it good.

Gravatar I think it's already stuck in my head...bring on the full album!

Gravatar This song is defiantly about Jack White (White Orchid) splitting up with Mrs. Bridget Jones Diary and becoming Jack Blue (Jack Sad), but I hope for the rest of the album he become Jack Kick Ass.

Gravatar What's there to say? I don't even wanna bother to figure out what or who this song is about, it's friggin' amazing!

Gravatar Fantastic! - jump around crowdpleaser Am part of a crowd (as are we all), and I am indeed pleased.

Gravatar I love it. They're ever changing sound and style is one of the reason why I love this band so much. I can't wait to hear the rest of their new album! The song has already gotten to me...bring on the rest!!

Gravatar It harkens back to the time Jack spent with The Go the MC5 influenced group he did one record and some touring with. This is one case of a White Stripes in need of some bass. I'm diggin it...

Gravatar Fantastic. Jack proves his versatility once again. Can't wait to see them at Glastonbury!

Gravatar i cant concentrate because theres this new stripes song stuck in my head and its distracting me.............not too shabby.

Gravatar i love the white stripes, but this song reminds me of Death from Above 1979

Gravatar THIS SONG IS SO FUKIN ADDICTING!!! ARG, I CANT GET IT OUT OF MY MIND...

Gravatar Don't like it much.

Gravatar Just listened to Cold Roses on your blog. It's definitely his best work since Heartbreaker. Awesome.

Gravatar this is a big dissapointment.

Gravatar It FN Rocks!!!

Gravatar I went into a record shop on thursday and the dude was playing the promo and i stopped at the door and made an audible gasp. My immpeccable timing was shadowed by my embarrassment. I still sang along and scared people out of the shop.

Gravatar Sorry, but the White Stripes care dead. This is such a bad song....

Gravatar I like it a lot.
It may not be a next "7 nation army" like some say. It's just different but that doesn't mean it sucks. There should be more bands daring to take a step in another direction, maybe thisway they can discover a new sound.

Gravatar Oh My God...This song is so sweet, it is like nothing jack has ever done. Of all his previous 4 records...i've heard better songs...but blue orchid is awesome...(love you jack)

Gravatar God it rocks. but i love everything the white stripes does, no matter how different it sounds from other stuff. the guitar rocks. i'm in extacy.

Gravatar OH. MY. GOD. talk about restoring faith in the white stripes, music, and the world in general!

Gravatar Evidence of the time Jack's been spending with Beck maybe? It sounds like he got Prince to do the vocals, which is reminiscent of Midnite Vultures.

It's....weird. But the Stripes don't get by on just being the same thing album after album. They do whatever the hell they want.

And don't tell me you liked Elephant or De Stijl or the others all the way through the first time. I thought Elephant was kinda bland until the second or third spin. Give it time.

Gravatar this song is better than 7 nation army, i can't get it out of my head...

Gravatar you call that music? matter of opinion...absolute crap...completely crap...no artistic value...oh, have I mentioned how much it sucks?

Gravatar No, but youve demonstrated whata butthead you are perfectly. It RULES.
