1) In spite of all of the ridiculous talk about exending Baker in the so-called MSM - he will indeed take the fall for this debacle of a season. It certainly won't save this season (an impossible task) - but it will improve the odds going forward and perhaps more to the point, it will prove deeply satisfying for some of us who want someone's head on a platter for this mess.
Speaking of which - Baker's entire coaching staff (but especially Rothschild, Clines, and Matthews) should also go with him - as should Hendry and MacPhail.
2) I'm just waiting for Pujols' juice test to come back positive and for him to reprise McGwire's ridiculous performance in front of a panel of Congress.

There is a short filler piece in the Religion section of the Peoria Journal Star today indicating that Pujols is born-again. It quotes Pujols as giving God the credit for what he can do.

1. Probably Baker. Sadly, nothing will change until this faceless ownership is out. Anything else is rearranging the deck chairs......
2. If anything, HGH is helping. Which is not tested for.
