What gives OW?? Now you are giving the gringo loco who monopolized your comment section a while ago, the one with all names, tribuna as a guest bloger?

FWIW I would not do that if i were you. remember the venezuelan saying.. el que duerme con niņo amanece cagado.

Thanks for giving my evil twin an opprotunity to vent OW.

He is a real character--but, unfortunately, his views are indeed indicative of a good many people in the US.

These vendepatria Venezuelans are smoking crack if they believe that GW Bush is really a 'liberator' or that he is really interested in advancing "democracy".

Sure, they will allow elections--as long as the people elect governments that will do the bidding of the US.

Given the well documented history of the US supporting thuggish governments in Latin America (that make the abuses of Castro look amateurish), why do so many in the opposition have such childish, ill-placed faith in Bush?

Could it be that these Venezuelans really hate the fact that the majority poor have an opprotunity to make rather mild reforms?--and that these reforms impinge in their 'god-given' right to exploit the poor at will (as long as Uncle Sammie gets his five percent cut?)

Hmmm...

Just ask me again, and I will let my lecherous, Ugly-American cousin 'occupy' your blog in your absence again.

Indeed, it is funny stuff--but in a scary, scary, scary, kind of way.

Can't believe that this guy is related to me.

Gravatar "Given the well documented history of the US supporting thuggish governments in Latin America (that make the abuses of Castro look amateurish), why do so many in the opposition have such childish, ill-placed faith in Bush?"

It is their only hope left:

They used to believe in the military. That ended in 2002

They used to believe in PDVSA. That ended in 2003

They used to believe in the opposition leadership and the 'people'. That ended in 2004.

If I am not mistken today is 2005.

Gravatar Woah, a CIA agent must have taken over my blog. And I can't delete it!!!!!

Fear not, I'm back.

But Jim is right it is a good illustration how how the US right wing thinks as well as the Venezuelan vendepatrias.

And immitation is the sincerest form of flattery - so what Khazakstan and the others are doing shows how right Chavez was and is.

Gravatar "Just ask me again, and I will let my lecherous, Ugly-American cousin 'occupy' your blog in your absence again.

carajo, you sure have a big ego. As well as a very WASP sense of humor, in all your impersonations, Mister You of All Names.

Gravatar OW--let's keep'm guessing: was it Jim R.--Jim's evil family member; was it really OW?

Keep'm guessing and pissing all over themselves.

Off topic, but a good heads up notice:

Provea, a Venezuelan human rights group that has been very critical of the chavez government, sent a letter to Ambassador Brownfield on May 25th--the statement basically rebukes the extremist, hostile statements made by the Bush administration and its cabinet flunkies.

I was suprised, the statement was pretty harsh, a rejection of US destablizing rhetoric through which they hope to prime the pump for getting rid of Chavez.

Indeed, I suspect that 'cooler', priviledged middle class heads in that organization can see the writing on the wall if the US were to overthrow the democratic, constitutional government of Hugo Chavez: there would be blood running in the streets and decades of conflict throughout the region.

I think that a good translation of this letter would be a good edition to the blog. A blurb appeared quickly yesterday in El Universal and in today's Union Radio report. These opposition news sites definately took their sweet time in publishing information about this letter.

Just a suggestion--but I think that it would be good fodder for discussion. Especially since this group can hardly be classified as 'pro-Chavez'.

Gravatar Thanks, I did see that but hand't read it in full. I'll take a look and if time permits translate and post.

BTW, if you see stuff like this and you're afraid it might come down soon you can always copy and paste and then shoot me an e-mail.

Was it Jim Rs dark side, was it me - who knows? I laughed so hard when I read it I pulled some nuerons and now I can't remember anything.

Gravatar Ok, I just went to there web site (http://www.derechos.org.ve/) and read it.

It was quite fair and good. What they were in large part critiquing was a report I posted about before http://oilwars.blogspot.com/2005...untry- near.html

That was a nasty, nasty report. If you haven't read it you should. It really is a report advocating the overthrow of Chavez and advocating a full out propoganda war against Venezuela in preparation for that. I still think any kind of direct military action by the US against Venezuela is really very remote - but after reading that report it is clear there are SOME segments who would be willing to go for it. PROVEA doesn't seem to realize what the background of that Think Tank is and who some of the people who are on its board. Its not a fringe group - heck it has Douglas Feith.

I really wanted to write a big post rebutting all the lies in there report but never had the time. So many posts, so little time.

Gravatar "el que duerme con niņo amanece cagado."

El que duerme con niņo goes to trial in california, only if he is rich and maybe formerly black otherwise:

el que duerme con niņo goes to jail and gets raped nightly by some guy named Bubba.

Gravatar El pulpo, you have a very typical anglosaxon way of thinking, very dirty, always looking for the perverted sexual meaning. Reacciona hermano latinoamericano!!

que paso hermano, are u going to attack my post because i, as a venezuelan, refuse to be patronized by a gringo loco acomplejado, He of All Names, and make my opinion on the matter be known to the blog's owner. Completely out of order.

BTW the venezuelan saying only means "choose your allies/friends whatever carefully", otherwise you will get soiled. thats all. One thing is to have the gringo loco amusing os in these comments sections, another is to permit him to post craziness wasp "humor". quality of the place goes down, IMHO. thx.

Gravatar ROB--Comandante P. has a well-rounded, sophisticated sense of humor, a wry wit, and a permanently hard dick.

Don't f..k with him. Just my advice.

More, he is far, far beyond being 'white', gringo, or Waspish--he is all races, all creeds, all colors.

Just like Michael J. LOL

Gravatar "ROB--Comandante P. has a well-rounded, sophisticated sense of humor, a wry wit, and a permanently hard dick."

hmmm. See what i mean el pulpo. Hasta homoerotico sono eso. dejate de esas cosas gringo loco, You of all Names. anyways i agree, his humor is way ahead of yours, thats a given. he, like me is part of LA RAZA. Deja la envidia chico. And, respectfully, la jaladera de bolas tambien. thx.

Gravatar BTW, in venezuela, were the majority of the populations live in ranchos, or "favelas" for our international friends, people doesnt have the luxury of having four bedroom houses, therefore families do share beds or whatever places they have to share, because there is simplemente no space.

So then gringo loco, you that most surely dont have to share a place to sleep with your family. DONT YOU DARE TO KEEP MAKING FUN OF MY VENEZUELAN SAYING. El pulpo can be forgiven because he is one of us. But try to be more sensitive next time, hermano.

VIVA LATINOAMERICA LIBRE DE GRINGOS. thx.

Gravatar ROB--you are the classic hypocrite: you pimp off your 'victimization' (by the hated 'gringo')within a wider strategy of undermining any revolutionary praxis of Latin America people when they attempt to cast off the burden of white supremicist (Euro/US-based) exploitation.

You are a comedian, right?

In short--you are consumed by an inferiority complex.

Your anti-gringo lingo is obviously a form of schtick, it is a ruse, a projection of your own inferiority-complex onto the revolutionary Latin American people who do indeed have some very legitimate issues with on-going and historical racism, real issues with the behavior of gringos bent on a program of imperialist super-exploitation.

The revolutionary praxis, the struggle, in Venezuela does indeed have a racialized, inchoate, amporphus subtext.

You ROB--despise the fact that these people are rebelling against this contempoary and ongoing exploitation.

This makes you nervous because, deep down, your own obsequious and phoney identification with white, upper class culture is called into question--and this is as it should be if you have any ethical core to your being.

However, instead of participating in the revolution, and placing your relationships with the upper classes in question, you are forced to focus on the revolution as that nagging event that threatens your hypocritcal, shallow lived reality.

Dude, hombre, you have serious issues.

Gravatar LOLOLOLOL! Whatever gringo loco. Mr. Hombre of All Names.

"The revolutionary praxis, the struggle, in Venezuela does indeed have a racialized, inchoate, amporphus subtext."

LOL! The wasp has talked.

two other venezuelan sayings for you gringo loco:

"El que se pica es porque aji come"

and,

"Arrechito murio cagando"

Take it easy, "Hombre", que te va a dar un infarto. LOL

Gravatar Calamardo= remember, el chupacabras es gringo
Do I have to chase you around the blogs? and explain things to you?
So many years living across the B bridge, you still don't have a clue.

I respect your limp to the left, but not your desperados racist feelings, toward your own LOS LATINOS!

C'mon you know as well as I do that the Chupacabra is a failed Program by some top secret US agency that irradiated some humanoid creatures and then they dumped them in various locations along the lesser and greater antilles and in select wooded highlands of Central and South America - Do not play coy with me I know this to be true.

Just for kicks what was the last item you shopped for?

Gravatar El Pulpo,

I've got good mony that the last item that M. Shopper shopped for as either 'blond hair-dye' or a cosmetic surgeon through which the last vestiges of indigenous, African, or Spanish blood could be sufficiently hidden from the WASP GW Bush school of racialized identification.

Indeed, part of the anti-democratic subtext that is going on here is a function of too many US television shows, Disney movies, and various consumer items as a impressionable youth.

Indeed, it always freaks me out when I see how twisted the white supremacist identification makes some people.

After 500 years, the game remains the same but the modes of servitude arrive at new levels of codeing.

The fact that Hugo don't play 'dat has so many of these fakes in a perpetual tizzy.

Word

As a person of caucasian background, I have been called a 'race-traitor' on more than one occassion.

The fact that I encourage as much dilution of the 'white' race as possible, in the name of world harmoney, is one of the reasons.

Cuban Americans are almost a virulently racist as anyone in the Southern US. True 'dat.

Gravatar Pulpo, eyeglases...
para verle bien las piernas a maria corina

El chupacabra is something out the labs of CIA? No pana!
Those farmers need some eyeglasses too.
Don't believe everything you read! on either side, this I say from the bottom of my heart. You know me, I'm a fair person. Well, I try to be.
Glad to know you don't support racism, especially between us latinos.

Gravatar Jimbo=
be careful, we're VERY PROUD of our mixed blood down here in Venezuela.
we are not cubans, that's a whole different nation and people.
after all, they left their homeland... without fighting.
some did fight and still do it, tip hat to them.

Gravatar "be careful, we're VERY PROUD of our mixed blood down here in Venezuela."

I wouldn't accept that as a blanket statement. The powers that be never liked the racial make up. Thats why PJ brought in so many Europeans - to try to change that.

Today it is to a large extent those Europeans, many of whom are very racist, who make up the opposition. In that way they are serving the purpose that PJ intended.

So clearly I don't agree with MS statements but that will have to be a future post.

Gravatar Can we request subjects OW?

Anyway I would like to see a post about class-hating in the opposition, something that is related and sometimes are used together with racism.

I have seen so many comments from priviliged venezuelans about "lazy", "ugly" and "stupid" poor people.

I guess its a way to defend for themself the system that keeps the poor people excluded.

Gravatar yes you can. I tend to post when something is in the news such as my previous post on Homophobia in the opposition:

http://oilwars.blogspot.com/2005...s-de- todos.html

So on the racial stuff I will post on that too when a particular news event makes it relevent. But by all means if you see something that you think should lead to a post or have background info don't hesitate to shoot me an e-mail.
