I really appreciate the economic data that you have been providing.
One of the things that our group that visited Venezuela has discussed is the extent to which Venezuela wants, and attracts, foreign investment.
Not surprised to see that the US is still putting money into the country, after all, there is money to be made, apparently for businesses other than international lending institutions.

Here is how it is done of the opposition blogs---just censor anyone, no matter how obsequious and polite, that threatens to puncture the classism and racism of the anti-Chavez stalwarts: (note, my comments are parenthicized)
snip
--------------------------------------
you failed your probation. you are out again and flattery will not lead you anywhere. i said two posts and you put 7,(I had thought he meant two posts per day, seemed a reasonalble concession to Daniel's sensibilities) i told you that you did not understand my post and as someone pointed out you tried to weasel out of your error without recognizing it and even less apologizing. learn to read and to debate and then we will see again. right now you will be banned and erased anytime you try to sneak in for as long as it takes. you are just irrepressible, unable to understand that the comment section is NOT TO CONVINCE other people that have been around long enough to know where they stand. (Of course, this is the crux of the issue:--Daniel doesn't want anyone to present cogent argument that will cause the radib opposition to reflect on its self) if you did not convince them before, you are not going to convince them now (so...who says?). i suggest that you would be much more successful at attracting an audience by opening your own blog (far too busy participating in other venues operated by people that are far more adept at posting pertinent material regularly). i will even link to it (see, he will link to it--but will the escualidos come?). don't you write a oil wars? (You know I do Daniel; you visit Oil Wars everyday)
and before you scream, i had to erase not only your posts but all the replies made to them. (wow--that's a bit extreme, so "democratic' and egalitarian of you Daniel....not!) so it is censorship for all (thank you Pinochet). i will not allow my comment section to become a mess (a 'mess' defined as a place with authentic lively debate, debate that might cause the converted to question their beliefs). if you and other, even from "my side" are upset with this i suggest to go to oil wars and attack me from there as you have been doing. (moi! why would I do that?) we'll see the results on the long term. (yeah, the results--that you make people go underground to make comments on your blog. You censor and they will come!)

Dude, I will do my best to be both polite and moderate in my contributions.
Thanks for letting me comment, Daniel.
And again, thanks for your support for the hurricane victims.
New Orleans was indeed one of the most impoverished, and yet one of the most 'cultured' cities in the US.
The people have an 'art' to them that escapes the homogenization that we see with the big-box retail, chain-store consumerism that has been sweeping the nation.
Really enjoy reading your blog and the associate
