Hell, maybe thats where this is all leading. One day 5 years from now Venezuela will stand on the brink of true socialism but for one hold out, the Sambil. There will be a few thousand escualidos holed up there ready to die as matyrs for private property. It would be something like the Alamo, the words "Remember the Sambil" will be a rallying cry for escualidos in Miami for generations to come. Or maybe as a last act of defiance they could set the place on fire and burn up like the Branch Davidians

The oligarchy and their servile minions and quislings certainly don't get too upset about deathsquads tracking down the poor, or about the US invasion/occupation of Iraq.
But what does sent these people into hysterical fits is that idea that some oligarch might be forced to give over largely unused lands to some barefoot poor person who has just fled a barrio in Caracas for a better life in the country.
Is it any wonder that their protest march only draws out the most deluded servants of the oligarchs? Indeed, the oligarchs themselves certainly didn't see fit to attend--so they send some of their flunkies in their place.
