EU on the election:
FAIR and TRANSPARENT
Congressional elections boycotted by several parties were fair and transparent despite opposition claims of irregularities

As expected of course. What will the opposition do know?
Probably nothing. They will whine around as usual in the oppo media.

Elliv, what the opposition will do is anyones guess. And what lead them to do this I donīt know. But the sense I get here in Venezuela is no one cares. Utter indiffernce reigns. So if the opposition thought this was going to rile people up they once again badly miscalculated.

Your logic comparing the NA elections with mid-term elections in the U.S. is a bit faulty.
Many U.S. congressional elections are multi-candidate affairs but only a small number are truly competitive, in part because legislators often are able to dictate the lines of their own districts. In the races that are truly competitive, the turnout is higher.

No, the congressman don't control the lines of their districs. The state legislatures do that. The vast majority of elections are fairly competative - certainly within the 60/40 split.
