The "Klan" letter is obviously a parody but these are actual pictures the Reese brothers had on their site. Like most Dems, they can dish it out but can rarely take it.

From what I read in the forum, there was nothing discussed about the trash you've got posted here . . .
What is on there is discussion as to whether the e-mail the Weddington guy sent out was racist or not . . .

They guys (TW) qualifications for office are questioned, along with the fact that he recently (less than a year ago) moved to Lawton and they don't know where he's employeed . . .

The Reese Racists obviously took the pictures off the site just like they supposedly edit comments of their readers. You don't see them denying that they posted the pictures do you? The letter is made up; the pictures aren't.
Ricky be honest with yourself. If Republicans had called an african american democrat a chaffeur and questioned his credentials the way these clowns have, the NAACP, the ODP, and the grassroots dems would be livid and incensed. I am a declared partisan, and have no tolerance for partisans putting themselves forth as "news distributors," right or left leaning. It is dishonest. OKPNS is doing a real service. He's putting up news items that look at the Sooner state political scene.
Does he have his own perspective? Obviously! And I don't think he has ever tried to hide this from anyone. But he's also giving much of the news straight, and he's skewering purely partisan hackjob sites like Demookie.
The creatures that run Demookie were getting away with having their own sleazy little echo chamber about a year ago -- now blogs with alternative views from the right, middle and all over are popping up.
OKPNS has called the Demookie freaks out, and they responded like a couple of fraternity brats by trying to hide their puerile prank, removing evidence of what they'd done.
Thinking that Calvin and Tim are racist is really ignorant. I have known them for 15 yrs. If either of them had those tendencies, that would have been sussed out well before now.
I was a member of the ODP Affirmative Action Cmte. There were some very strong and vocal members of that body. Racism would not and was not tolerated by members of the AA Cmte.
I also was raised in SW OK., Anadarko to be precise. It is open knowledge by minority residents that the KKK is alive and well in that region.
As a matter of fact, there are 2 Anadarko City policemen who are openly members of the KKK. There are members who also work for the Lawton police force.
It doesn't take a genius to figure out that the local conservative politicos would not want a non-white as an elected official. So how easy is it to lay the blame on the opposing party?
When OKPNS can produce other local non-white political activists who ACTUALLY LIVE in SW OK, then there will be some merit placed on these accusations.

Thank you for your thoughtful observtions but you failed to remember or write that these veiled racist accusations against tw shannon under the guise of "he's an outsider" and that he's only qualified to be a "driver" were made by the comanche county DEMOCRATIC chair and the racist photo's of TW were posted and cheered on by the highly partisan DEMOCRATIC Reese brothers.
The double/double conspiracy theory you're advocating makes good reading; unfortunately it doesn't make good sense, especially when you read the complaints of the dem county chair complaining about all the "outside money" coming into tw's campaign i presume from conservative republicans.
