Politicians are elected by their constituencies; each is a human being, is born and dies. There is a “natural” limit built-in. The real abuse occurs with ‘perpetual’ corporations, ltd liability companies, etc., which enjoy a life rivaled only by God ~ everlasting! Corporations exist only by legislative decree - they exist only as the State recognizes their right to exist. Instead of executing human beings, the State should execute ne’er-do-well corporations that repeatedly injure human beings and terminate the corporation’s right to exist. The State kills people based in part on their “threat to society” . . . accordingly, the State should not hesitate to kill perpetually-polluting corporations. Such ‘legal fictions’ have forfeited their right to exist and the legislative decree which grants corporate powers should just as quickly eviscerate them. That’s a term limit we all need!
