I think my idea submission was taken misquoted. What I said was that we have too many school districts compared to comparable states of like sizes...not that we only need one school district per county (not sure where that come but it's an idea to consider). We have 535 school districts with 3.5 million people while Florida has 75 school districts with over 15 million people (and I think that number is closer to 25 million). These districts have their own staffs, fleet of cars, assistants, expenses, etc. You want to know where almost 50% of the state budget is going? Look no further than the bureaucracy within our own school districts. Who knows what the number of districts should be but the current number is way too big in our opinion.

Where in that quote (or on the 100ideas website) did he say one school admin per a county???
I think he was just asking for better spending of our education dollars.
