It's not government's job to make sure someone's medical bills get paid.
Wayne Rohde is an intellectually dishonest crook, for at least two reasons:
1) People of integrity never, never seek to make their burden another's obligation. Nick's Law is nothing but another form of legalized plunder.
2) Wayne Rohde told Mark Shannon, "I'm a conservative, but the free market doesn't work". This is a contradictory statement. What he means is, "I may be pro-life, but dammit, someone needs to foot my kid's medical bills for me. The system didn't give me what I want, so therefore it's broken".
I'm not without compassion or understanding, but it's not my obligation to pay for anyone else's medical bills, unless I choose to do so. Anyone who thinks anything less is not a conservative.
