Spanked!

Gravatar Thank you Cong Edwards! Great job of telling it like it is!

Gravatar Guess all those Soros stories from the media are Chris Wilson plants.

Old reprobate Repubs don't die, they just become liars, and hot check writers.

Arps owns Horowitz.

George Soros’s Two Left Hands
The partisan squeeze on judicial seminars.

By Edward Whelan

In August 2004, according to this article in the liberal New Yorker, “a clandestine summit meeting took place at the Aspen Institute, in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains. The participants, all Democrats, were sworn to secrecy” and included five billionaires who “shared a common goal: to use their fortunes to engineer the defeat of President George W. Bush in the 2004 election.” The wealthiest of these “hard-core partisans” was George Soros, who had been a “leading crusader for campaign-finance reform.”

The web is full of Soros' connection to Aspen, unless your an out-of-touch old bitter conservative turned liberal who thinks aliens are planting this stuff on the web.

The sad part is, I think Edwards really believes the see no Soros, hear no Soros, speak no Soros crap.

Gravatar So we are supposed to say "Why, of course Jeff Cloud is a conservative!" when we read that rogues' gallery of Republicans associated with the Aspen Institute, which anyone who plays word association will pair automatically with "liberal", based on years of articles and reporting. These are the same Republicans who have taken the party into big government oblivion and unbalanced checkbooks, let me count the ways.

Gravatar I like Mickey Edwards, He held a Fundraiser for me in 1982 and we both were active in the ACU. At CPAC in 1979 Mickey, Bob Bowman, Richie and I had a few drinks together.

Gravatar Mickey Edwards is a fine person, and I'm glad he felt compelled to write this. I'm sure there are liberals and conservatives in the Aspen Institute. I don't know much about it and could care less either way. But I do know that the anti-intellectual strain of Okie Republicans is really starting to wear on me. It is not necessary to be a hostile ignorant and uneducated person in order to be a conservative.
