Agreed, the public has a right to know. However, if this somehow disqualifies Roth to hold office in the voters' mind, then perhaps President Bush should resign? After all, he too had a DUI--and friends who allegedly covered it up.
I doubt this disqualifies Mr. Roth, but he does owe an explanation. Bush had to explain, Kennedy had to explain too, even if few believe their account.
