On the question of English language requirement, I would suggest that all people who are interested in this question, and also in what the Founding Fathers had to say on the matter, look into the essay written by Noah Webster, the same man who compiled and wrote the 1828 Dictionary of the American Language, titled "The Necessity of an American Language." Therein, he provides an outstanding argument *for* having a common language, and that common language being English.
The immigration question is one of the major problems of our time, and if we do not deal with it firmly, quickly, and concisely, the United States as the Founding Fathers gave it to us, will cease to exist.
