wow...it gets worse and worse for cargill and co. i love fancy pants lances statement at the end...i guess he isnt going to listen to the Oklahoman and come clean...come on lance...the public has a right to know hat you know and did...dont hide behind the old 'the investigation is ongoing excuse" YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DID...TELL US!!!

Gravatar If you want the Speaker to come forward with the truth, you need to direct your request to his handler - Fount Holland. None of the Hosue PAC pukes do anything - legal or illegal - without Fount's direction. So Fount, can Lance come forward and tell the truth?

Gravatar How come Kyle Loveless didn't change up the language he used on tv? or the shape of the black image? We keep talking about people throwing each other under the bus, Kyle just laid down right in front of it.

Gravatar I think it takes courage to speak out - even if you are blacked out. At least he is trying to see that the right thing is done.

Gravatar If the mystery silhouette thinks anyone should "come clean" then maybe he should too?

Gravatar Todays Muskogee Phoenix is an example of why Cargill must step down...local Republicans don't need Cargills trash hung around their neck...this type of article will soon be appearing in smaller papers all over the state...damaging the party to no end...STEP DOWN LANCE CARGILL!!

Gravatar No offense to OKPNS, but this video seems like an extended TV equivalent of Jenni Carlson's ad hominem attack on an OSU football player. Only TV can employ even more theatrics to make it sassier and more filled with evil portent, complete with silhouette interviews, delivery dripping with sarcasm, flashy music, spinning graphics and more.

Gundy's hysterics were out of hand, but he was right on the substance, as even some newspaper columnists have surprisingly pointed out. We can expect most of the news media to circle the wagons and protect Carlson, but she definitely invented things and as one columnist put it, essentially condensed a collection of anonymous and malevolent whisperings into a sarcastic hit piece.

This News9 story is really no different -- it's just another "tiling up of back stories told on the sly" to tear someone down. Pretty much what we've come to expect from the media. "Tiling up" seems to be the new standard.

I suspect we won't see any Gundy moments issuing forth from the state Capitol, at least not like the old days when someone like a Mike Turpen might spin off into a rant. And sure, politicians put themselves out there for this sort of abuse in a way 21 year old athletes do not. But this story is just as much garbage as Carlson's column was.

Gravatar Matt you are ridiculous. And clealry a republican party supporter. Reporting about unethical and possibly illegal campaign activities by politicians isn't "tiling up", its what the media should do. Would you rather car wrecks and crime blotters? As a republican yourself this kind of activity should disgust you! As a republican myself I hate it That's wht we ran the democrats out of office here in OKlahoma back in 2004, only to see our own party do the smae thing now. The GOP spin is now to split legal hairs, blame disgruntled republicans and the media for our problems. Whatever! Lets clean house, and start over. Anyone around Oklahoma politics know Cargill his legislative cronies and his big money consultants like Fount Holland are ruining our party.

So lay off journalists that really try to report, or else shut up and go watch Bill O'Rielly!

Gravatar It is time for Lance Cargill and the rest to come clean and fess up. The rumors of House and Senate PAC problems has been around since 2004 so why anyone would be surprised is beyond me. It was all over the place in 2006 that they were doing phoney contributor's statements in OK County in the OK GOP office in 2006. If you have to make up phoney donor records, you have real problems and the wrong people in charge.

If you are unethical be it Republican or Democrat, you should not be holding any type of office. Too many have been playing loose with the rules for years and now they are getting caught, but people are still making excuses.

Why won't Cargill back Rep Dank's bill to clean up? Is it because he and others want to keep using donated funds for their only personal use?

Also want total accountability for the 100 ideas? Is that too much to ask?

When it came out that a PAC was donating to a PAC to another PAC to in my opinion launder money, it spoke volumes about the lack of ethics. Keep this up Republicans and we will be in the minority for another 80 years.

Time to clean our Republican House before criticizing the Democrats. Anyone that was involved in any type of unethical action needs to resign yesterday.

Gravatar Todays Tulsa World reveals the most damning evidence yet...at he center...Fount Holland. He was the House Pac consultant. He also was the consultant for Representatives like Tad jones and Stuart Ericson. The House pac exceeded maximun contributions to candidates by having polls and staff paid for by the county, despite the House Pac ordering the polls and directing the staff. Holland claims that he did not use the polling done by the pac to help his invidual candidates! COME ON!!!! WHAT A JOKE!!! Like he could somehow forget what he knew when making decisions in Ericsons race!!! That is not believable AT ALL!! The grand jury is going to laugh at that one Fount!!!

Gravatar Fount Holland is super-talented operative, there's no doubt. I'b be suprised if he suggested anyone do anythign illegal or unethcial. He's a power hungry guy, but one that seems to use the rules to his advantage. Why break them if they can be mae to sork for you? Some Republicans just seem to hate succesful folks.

Gravatar As John said...I am super talented ...so talented that when I look at a poll for one client, I magically forget the results when advising another...My fellow Muskogeean Stuart Ericson's campaign did NOT get the benefit of the polls I had done...so don't worry...the House pac didn't go over $5000 limits because I am FOUNT!!

Gravatar The figure speaking is Pat McFerron. He's angry that CHS lost the House PAC polling in 2006 and is trying to bring Cargill down for taking that polling away from him. This won't be forgotten.

Gravatar wrong prince..its kyle loveless..no question. no doubt..and pat still has business w/ these guys...he isnt dumb enough to do this. kyle is.
