They do enrich our lives.
Bryan - That's for sure. No cat is the same as another, so you have to think of the whole brood and their reactions before doing too much to change their lifestyles...I had to get the air conditioner set up and working because Mango was really feeling unwell. If something happened to him, Rocky Girl would be lost.
It's nice to remember those cats who are no longer with us. They give us unconditional love

jams O Donnell - Our pets help shape our lives, for sure. It's funny how we also have input on their personalities. I went over to a friend's house to check on her cats. I sat and played with the ones I could catch. I was glad to get home to the cats that actually like me.
sbgypsy - They were delightful! I would say that cats are gorgeous, just by being cats, but I'm not sure about those Sphinx cats. I can't get over them being hairless.
Steve Bates - Thanks, Steve. Sometimes I look back on some kitties that lived with me many years in the past, and I can't help but feel bad that I didn't treat them in the manner these kitties are treated. One special kitty comes to mind. She thought I was the cat's meow, but I gave her away, because I had to move. When I think about it, I don't know if the family she moved in with kept her, or not. I hope they did. I had a Collie dog, same circumstance.
Fixer - Those kitties were wonderful. The current brood members are wonderful, too... though I'm not so sure about that kitten! - kidding about the kitten. Little Parker Dmitri is quite the sweetheart, since I had her teeth pulled. I have to say, my cats seem to be pretty happy. I hope you had a good 4th. Mango wants to know, since he's part of your family, if you could give him a load

robin andrea - It's amazing how much the four legged friends make a difference to us. Way back when I was a kid, we'd read something about some old lady leaving her fortune to her cats. We'd wonder why. Now, I understand.
