Well said. Orthodoxy has come a long way, and although it has a long way to go, it should be noted that progress is still progress.
It's good to see this move, definitely. But I'm sure not all those who view themselves as Modern Orthodox will accept it. The YU/OU community will not. I think that there's a split coming in Orthodoxy. But I'll be happy to be on the left side of that split. I don't feel a deep need to be labeled "Orthodox".
I also think that it's a terrific development.
