I visited the Big Island for a week. I stayed in Hilo and trained in Silat with the Mande Muda people for about 3-5 hours a day, with still plenty of time for relaxing and sightseeing.

It may have been the best vacation I ever had.

hmmmmm.......Mande Muda - never heard of them; perhaps I'll have an opportunity to encounter them, too - and yes, the Big Island is truly a special place - I guess you understand why I gush so when I speak of it (smile)

They meet at the Hilo Community Center. When I was there, it was every Wednesday, but that was some time ago!
