No offense taken! And what you outlined is very close to what I believe as well.
The only point where we might disagree is that I also believe that not all paths lead up the mountain. I think many people want to believe they all do, but that's just it - they want to believe it. Is it not equally possible that not all paths lead up the mountain? Could paths can lead away from the mountain, or over a cliff, or into a pit?
Our only hope (in my mind) of avoiding such things is to share our differences. Put them out on the table and see what is to be had. See what rises to the top.

Thanks and Aloha, Mushtaq and Phil
It sure is equally possible that not all paths lead to the summit of the mountain; it may even be possible that no paths lead there. We're still all on this mountain while we live - in my life I've found that even falling off a cliff returns me to the same mountain! Perhaps its the journey, rather than the destination that is important? I do believe that if I spend too much effort craning my neck to see how others are progressing I'm in danger of miss-stepping, myself.
I don't know and I'm no authority - (I'm likely one of God's least favored children and in no position to speak for Him.) I'm just another traveller on the way, with a perspective particular to my life and experiences.
Again, apologies if my opinions have caused offense.
