Urmmm...Cybertron is not a cube. But the Allspark (I refer to it as energon) is...I think you got it confused man. The movie was all a blur in the battle scenes. I rate it as mildly action packed.
rauff - yes, allspark is. But if you did notice, Optimus said in the last part of the show, that cybertron was destroyed and they are seeking refuge on Earth. Energon is the term i remembered it as well, and when i saw allspark, i thought it was some Pallas Jazz shoe.

oh man, lol the thundercats theme really brought back memories, hahahah, when i was small i made a cardboard cutout and stuck it on the torchlight, and we shone the torchlight at walls, hahahaha, memories indeed
oh ya one more thing you forgot to add, Optimus Prime, DOESN't EVEN look like the ORIGINAL, geeze what a humiliation, and megatron has teeth, bwahahaha
they had to chop and change the movie to suit american audiences, i think.. but overall it was OK la. will definitely buy the dvd.

I have to agree with you that the movie did not reflect AT ALL the robots that we adore as idols while growing up! Michael Bay himself was not a transformer fan previously ; obviously the core sentimentals were visibly missing , and ALLSPARK .wtf??
But i enjoyed the movie though ; compared to the other reincarnation of gen-2 / gen-3 transformers cartoon series. Bolehlaa.. I'm hoping that they will give more "back to the future" look in part II !!!

Deric - You more hardcore la with the thundercat one, i can't draw to start with, so, it's just going around shouting HOOOO!!!!!!! I did notice Megatron got teeth! I guess they decided to give Optimus some new stripes la...looked so ah beng..somemore truck!

the new movie robot not same as cartoon one, not fun enough
Before June 28, Transformers was the most anticipated movie of the year. AFter June 28, it became the most overhyped movie of the year.I have to say, I was a bit disappointed when I watched the movie.
The Robots don't remind me of the original Transformers at all. Maybe only Optimus Prime and Jazz, because of the windshield pecs in Prime and the doors jutting on each side in Jazz.
Then the storyline was loose, if there is any. One glaring blunder in the movie; Autobots gained control of the Cube. And they well know, should they come across with the Cons, there WILL BE a huga battle. So what do they do next? Bring the Cube into the city. Clever. Bring the Cube into the middle of some dessert lah.
And Stupe, I think like me, you're and old schooler too. So you would agree that no matter how nail biting a robot battle is, we know that it's just bits of pixels moving on the screen. It's CGI. The real thing never took place. CGI explosion is nothing compared to the real KA-BOOM we see in Rambo movies.
Stupe, if you want the real deal, watch Die Hard 4.0. It's damn good I tell you. I nearly lost control of my bladder in the cinema, suspen beb. John McLane is the real bad @$$.

The closest resemble they have is actually star scream, not even Optimus or Jazz as both are not the same as they are..i hate those ah beng stripes on Prime!
Well, if they don't bring into city, the movie will be boring mah...it's like playing football in an empty stadium; wait, tht happens in Malaysian Football scene..hahahahahahahaha!
DieHard eh...after part 3 ie Die Harder, i never know they would come out with 4.0...now i will await harrison ford in the upcoming Indiana Jones!
woih! i loved batman begins lah. it captured the essence/story of how bruce wayne became batman. how come you don't like?
