#14 is a movie starring a certain someone now big in California politics . . .

Well, #8 was a '70s Jaws "rip-off" and #9, let's see, we have an orange man, a blue man, a pinkish man...

OK, we're still stuck on #8.

I couldn't even get the first one. Is it a horror movie? I'm not big on horror movies.

The first one is Alien, in which alien creatures were wont to burst out of people's torsos.

Get 8 yet? Another hint if need be: It's about attacking marine life; it's worth noting that there are a lot of them.

I have everything except 5 and 6. Any hints for those?

#5: See the trademark hat on that adventurous guy by the bridge?

#6: They're gonna need a bigger boat than that one made out of little white boxes.

...And I'm still stuck on #8. Tried all sorts of things, like Orca, Crocodile, Alligator, Jaws 2, Jaws 3 in 3-D—all no dice.

With Orca, Crocodile, etc., there would be only one staple remover, not several. You might have to go to "school" to figure it out . . .

Given that I haven't seen #19, I was convinced that it was Super Size Me.

Alexander: Aha! Finally dawned on me.

Orange, if u still see comments this far back, I've been doodling away at these since u 1st posted the link. Am STILL stuck on #s 2, 8, 9, 10, & 19. Maybe haven't seen enuf movies
May I pls ask for hints for these? (including ANOTHER hint for #8--I'm still lost.)

PS Love that WordPlay can finally be bought, but still sorry they didn't realize you were the story at 2005 ACPT. I would have enjoyed them following you.

Thanks for the PS! (Do I know you, CyberSquirt?)

#2: Movie based on British chick-lit novel; there's been a sequel to both book and movie

#8: What swimming creatures could skeletonize a cow in a matter of minutes?

#9: If you named all the markers after their colors, the second-from-right would be a character in non-chick-flick.

#10: Imagine that the shiny squares light up. And notice the guy's hand.

#19: This depicts a villain in the movie, played by a physically imposing actor whose mouth was bedecked with scary metal. The movie's title pertains to yardwork on green cheese.

OK! Got #10 immed, and #8 by spelling correctly. Duh. Your clue for #19 title very funny; detect some constructor dna...
Having got it, have to say #9 is Wonderful. Maybe best puzzle here.
BUT--guess I just didn't see or hear of #2. Had already tried variants BJ'sDiary, don't know much chick lit. Asking for ANOTHER clue. (This is embarrasing.)

#2 is indeed Bridget Jones's Diary—perhaps your apostrophe-S wasn't handled the way they wanted?

Bingo! I never thought of adding a 2nd s. Anyway, my whole extended family's had marvelous fun w/the whole thing. Thx for turning me on to it!

No, you don't know me personally, but I've been reading your blog since before you came to Stamford in '05. Now I look forward to getting periodic Orange Fixes. But I'm conscientious: never BEFORE I've finished the day's NYT.
