I got 90% of them pretty quickly-- It's basically a trivia test with a lexical twist-- not that there's anything wrong with that.

I thought it was pretty easy, too. The major significance of the puzzle is that it's a good sign that we'll have a 23x23 Sunday puzzle. Another
big holiday Gorski, one hopes.

this was easy, breezy -- and for this non-speed solver, the perfect antidote to saturday's klahn. a lovely entree to that gorski, as well!

cheers --

p.s. especially liked the edgy/edward gorey combo. a perfect match!

Speaking of Lee Iacocca, his last name is an acronym of "I Am Chairman Of Chrysler Corporation (of) America".

I wondered about Mahatma...thought it was a title, but used it.

I only got 17: had Belle Astor instead of Brooke, couldn't get to Ms. Albright or Ms. Reese.

Janie, I noticed that too—there weren't many apt ones, though. Madeleine Albright = MEAT? Er, no.
