Willie so rocks. He is my mom's favorite and this brings back lots of great memories, thanks O. I am glad you remembered the concert this time and that you both had a good time.

I'm with those two (tracey and june).. there's nothing like texas music! i'm so glad y'all liked reckless kelly- and micky and his motorcars are amazing too.. so much talent in one family! and willie.. well he's just willie. a legend. end of story!
ok i had to come and see this for myself! wow! RK and MMCars are 2 of our favorites here in texas even if they do hail from Idaho. not a more talented family of musicians out there!

Okay so I had to do some research to figure out who the "other band" was. It was Micky and The Motorcars, if I'm correct. They are the younger brothers of Reckless Kelly. And yes, we know & love our music in Texas!
And I can totally relate to holding your position for 4 hours...I never give up my spot at front and center!!!

Trout--I've been outed! A friend of one of the teenagers had a back tattoo she was showing off, but generally it was too chilly for much skin action. It was a bit nipply out. I don't think anyone would have recognized me there, though there are a couple of readers who live there...
Jess--I saw Dylan a few years back and was surprised how lucid he seemed. I also caught Cher early in her multi-year farewell tour. I'd agree that Willie's was the best show of the three.
Moose--Yeah, go ahead and post it. We can compare the two!

I saw Willie last summer when he was touring with Bob Dylan. Willie does put on one hell of a show. I wasn't impressed with Bob though, couldn't understand a word he said/sang, not that you can on the cd's or records anyway... Willie's show was a helluva lot better than Cher's Farewell Concert!!

I love Willie!! If I ever decide to try pot again, it will be with Willie. LOL. Sounds like the perfect day, except for the crazy dash for the bandana. Poncho and Lefty is another song I know all the words to.

LOL, it was a total blast huh? Great music, really good musicians. Fun crowd, it was a good time. LOL, those girls were hilarious, totally toked up before the concert even started and yelling about how they "got stoned at Willie" and completely losing their buzz before the man even came on stage. Their expressions were pretty funny.
Thanks for driving big guy and letting me doze a little on the way home. I was wiped out. Awesome concert, am loving Reckless Kelly now and not just because the lead singer was FREAKIN' HOT!!

Watching "The Who" singing the line "hope I die before I get old" when they must be into their 60s is always a good one.
