The thing that struck me as I was watching this movie last night was that what makes these characters so great is that we can put so much more into them than was there to begin with. They're so 2-dimensional on paper, but I feel like I know them so well. All that extra stuff came from my own imagination. That's why a good actor like Downey can do so much with Tony Stark: he's just an archetype, really - he needs to be filled in.
Also I wish that instead of all these lame Hulk movies, we could have a movie about his more articulate cousin. Maybe Shulkie could be in the next F4 movie.
