The dems retain the filibuster for SC nominees, so that's a good thing, and only had to give up 3 judges for it.
Reid agreed to the 3 judges, and has said the Myers will continue to be filibustered. At least that's what I thought I heard during the press conference yesterday. I'd have to look it up to be sure..
I would have preferred a vote on changing the rules, and have it defeated, as a total victory, but this isn't too bad.
James Dobson and Gary Bauer went nuts, which is my measuring stick to know if something is good or not. LOL
I hope that Frist gets the repub nomination in '08.

If Myers gets filibustered Frist will push the button.
He was just on the Senate floor and said the Constitutional option is still on the table.

I'd wager there is already a deal on all the judges, including Myers.
If Frist envoked the nuclear option now, he'd appear to be renegging on the deal. I sincerely hope he tries.

There should be NO quid pro quo on how Senators will vote on things, especially Judges.
(Not saying it doesn't happen, but it's wrong.)
----------
Frist is not a signatory to this deal.
