The guy you think is Ahmadinejad is most definitely not him. This guy is even taller and bigger than the guy next to the hostage. Ahmadinejad is unmistakably shorter (and smaller in structure) than both of them, I mean not even close. Sure there are some similarities, but that is because they are from the same nation. For your good information, both those guys in that picture were member of the MKO terrorist group who were the main force behind attacking the US embassy and the Iranian regime had to make a decision to support them or not. It is interesting the today Washington supports the MKO. Both those guys in that picture were later captured in connection with bombings in Iran after Khomeini denied the MKO sharing of power in Iran. They became enemies, then went to Iraq and it's a long history. But anyway, I don't think Ahmadinejad would deny being involved in the US Embassy saga if he was involved. Knowing him, he would have bragged about it 1000 times by now in 25 years. One final pointm many of the foremer hostage takers today are the so-called "reformists" and even some are strong advocates of normalizing relations with US. Many of them are staunch opponents of hardliners like Ahmadinejad. It would be hard to imagine that not even one of them would come along and say hey, Ahmadinejad was involved in that mess too.

I know for sure at least one of them is dead and I would be shocked if the other one is alive, because of the extreme animosity between the regime and the MKO after they killed over 70 major figures of the regime in one bombing. The so-called "Iran expert analyst" of FOX News, Alireza Jaffarzadeh, is a leading figure of the MKO. Even though both USA and European Union list the MKO officially as a terrorist organization, when USA invaded Iraq and dethroned Saddam, they gave protection to eh MKO (which by all accounts had a terrorist camp in Iraq and was 100% supported by Saddam). Maybe you would benefit to examine certain US policies and Washington factions objectively.
