Donald Rumsfeld met with Saddam Hussein you know.. and there's.. like pictures and such. Seems the CIA met with Bin Laden when they gave him weapons to fight the Soviets.
So what the hell is your point? Are you still trying to justify the Iraqi debacle?
Yes.. Saddam was a bad guy.. Yes.. the Iraqis might (just might) be better off without him if they can manage to stop killing each other.. But, the justifications were bogus and the price paid was too much.
I'll say this one more time for you.
The United States Military is not in the business of freeing an oppressed people through years of war and occupation. We don't declare war on bad dictators and send 150 thousand troops in.

In other words.. if the Iraqis wanted a new government, they would have got themselves a new government. That's what revolutions are for.. It was not our place to invade and occupy their country.

So.. can we just nuke Russia now? And Iran.. We've got enough nukes to go around.. For god's sake, North Korea says they've got long range nukes and are going to nuke us first.. Surely, since the standard for invading Iraq was the presumption they had weapons and connections to terrorism (despite really having either), shouldn't we vaporize nations that actually do?
Then again, we'd likely have to have a general draft of young Republicans to bolster the military.. because Russia, Iran, and North Korea likely won't just drop their weapons and run away..
