I have an older Kenwood headunit that folds up when the key is removed. It also has a code feature that is enabled once power is removed from the unit. I recommend an Eclipse unit as a replacement since they have a nifty security feature that uses a CD of your choice as a "key" CD. Once the unit is removed you need that exact CD to run the unit or you have to call Eclipse and ask them to help you. Even then you have to prove its your radio before they assist you.
I used to install 12 volt equipment...alarms, remote starts and even LoJack's

Well, I have an alarm now. I just had one installed.
The truck was sitting in my driveway and I guess I just never tought someone would break into my truck to steal my piece of shit CD player. Which was a detacable face BTW. Not detatched, D'ho!

DOnt blame yourself for not bringing the CD face in....I had one of those like many other people and never took it in when I came home at the end of the day.
As far as the alarm goes it isnt doing anything in the box Imagine if you bought a brand new handgun but left her in the box....I doubt you would do that right? So have the alarm installed....I hope is isnt a POS

It a HORNET, don't no if thats a good one or not but it goes off when ya open the doors which is basicly all I need

Alarm installation is pretty easy unless you have power door locks or drive some luxury car (lexus etc)...You could have done it yourself
