Go back even further to 2000 when Bush supporters attacked McCain's patriotism, integrity and even accused him of betraying his fellow POWs for favorable treatment. Modern day attacks on McCain are mild compared with attacks by Bush supporters.
"Swift boating" the service of any veteran is wrong. I think that the fact that McCain was a prisoner of war adds an undeserved petina of heroism to his service. Unfortunately it does not take any extrodinary talent to be shot down while you are flying a plane.
The democratic candidate should not have to resort to any low blows during the campaign. There will be choice in November, choose change or choose to continuee the disasterous policies of the previous 8 years. A vote for McCain is a vote to continue the policies of the bush administration. Lord save us from four more years of failed policies.
