Yes it's true. But keep in mind that the Republicans couldn't have accomplished any of this without the willing cooperation of the Democrats.
They both depend on corporations for the majority of their funding. A corporate/government alliance is another feature of fascist societies.
Opposing fascism requires not supporting either of the corporate parties. The Green Party accepts no corporate funding, and represents citizens' interests, not corporate interests.

THE BUSH-CHENEY CRIME FAMILY has stolen, totally corrupted and debased the Aemrican Republic. While it has done so, the DEMOCRATS have SOLD OUT AMERICA and Americans have proven to be STUPID, COWARDLY and OBLIVIOUS!
A key ingredient in Fascism is the merging of Corporations with the state. We can also see this with examples of Halliburton, enron and Blackwater at the "Newsnoted" end of the scale and hundreds more at the other ends; from Telecomm Companies to any of the groups trying to privatize the "commons".
