Gravatar Margene and Lene hit the nail on the head, I think.

{{hugs}}

Gravatar Whew. I hope July brings only good things to you all.

I love when A/C works, especially yours. :D

It is nice your DH is thoughtful and says thank you. My dad did but not all that often, despite all my mom did for him and their devotion to each other, and it wasn't a good thing.

Gravatar Let him thank you. Receiving the kind of help that you're giving him can be really hard to accept, especially when you're used to doing it yourself. Even when you're not used to doing it yourself, having someone step up and just do what needs doing can be a very humbling experience. I've often thought that receiving help is way harder than giving it.

Glad your AC is putting out.

Gravatar June really did suck rocks, eh?
Hopefully July will be better.
((((((((hugs))))))))

Gravatar Very glad to hear that things are going in the right direction, and thankful to hear that he can build the muscles back...

And good that AC has been fixed up!

Gravatar Some positive news. Yay for the AC!

Gravatar I'm hoping for a better July for all of you. I am glad that there are some good things and people helping to care for you, too.

xo

Gravatar *hugs*

I think what Margene said - and he wants you to know he's not taking you for granted. I'm glad you've got some a/c to help make things a little more tolerable. Sending healing thoughts for all of you.

XO

Gravatar I find myself at the end of a long day and unable to formulate the proper thoughts for commenting to this, but I must say that I grinned and appreciated all the other comments on your behalf. I say ditto to what they all said.

Gravatar i'm so glad to hear some good news. a working a/c and some cookie-lace does to wonders for the soul.

Gravatar I love your new layout.

Good thing that he is appreciative - a whole lot of people promise in sickness and in health, richer or poorer and then discover that they didn't have any idea what that entailed. Just because you're not like that doesn't mean he isn't damn lucky!

Gravatar I'm hoping that June was the worst of it and now Rick can mend and get stronger and you can try to avoid a total breakdown. Take care, kiddo!

Gravatar Your DH will feel so much better when he's sleeping in his own bed again and doesn't have someone waking him up to take his temperature at 2 am.

Take care of yourself too, you hear? Give yourself a little break when you can.

Gravatar I think men tend to realize how lucky they are when they're alone in a hospital bed with nothing but time on their hands.

I'm so glad the Swallowtail is a bit of a help.

xo

Gravatar Once again Margene has expressed my sentiments so very well.
Your Cookie Swallowtail is sooo beautiful.

Gravatar Being very ill makes one feel vulnerable, humble and very grateful. It's his way of expressing all of that. Sending healing thoughts for him and good thoughts for you.

Gravatar He knows he's lucky to have you.

Gravatar I think it's hard for spouses to say thank you for the seemingly endless day-to-day, especially in his situation. It always sounds so ... patronizing? Something like that. But I DO know that when my husband says "thanks" he means "I love you" - so it's a lovely thing to say and hear. Keep on keepin' on!

Gravatar ((((hugs))) Yeah for A/C! Tell the damn nurses to wash their hands. :D Do I need to come there and kick some ass?

I'm thinking of you. Oh... and clean as much as possible. :D

Gravatar If he wasn't saying thank you, well, you'd be pissed.

Gravatar Hang in there, Carrie. I'm glad Rick is telling you he appreciates you - some people wouldn't, you know! I hope he's on the mend soon.
