Thank you to ALL of you! I'm overwhelmed with my blogger friends who've used their blogs as prayer platforms for Addison, and with the response all of you have had! Thank you for your prayers and your encouragement. I can't wait until tomorrow afternoon, when I can come back and tell you that it's OVER!
And now I'm going to bed, seeing as how it's midnight, and I'm getting up around 3 a.m. Yikes.
p.s. Kristi from NC--not bored one bit! And I'll get you my info so you can email me and tell me your story

I finally am catching up on my WFMW and found you through Shannon. And of course had to stop everything to listen to the HS prompt telling me to write a prayer.
Almighty Father,
We give You thanks for the gift of Addison’s life, and pray in Jesus name for Your compassion upon her. Your Word has instructed us to pray for one another so that we may be healed. We boldly pray for this beautiful baby whose days are in such struggle. Thank You for being our Healer. Mercifully accept our prayers on Addison’s behalf and with the help of Your power, grant that she will be healed, and that in doing so her family will glorify You always for Your mercy and grace. “ But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord.” [Jeremiah 30:17]. Please guide the hands and hearts of all those entrusted to Addison’s care. We also ask Your protection over their family. “I will lie down in peace and sleep; for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.” [Psalm 4:8] We also lift up all of their family, that they lay their worries before You, the Divine Healer. Give them comfort in Your Word, “Praise be to the Lord, for He has heard my cry for mercy. The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to Him in song.” [Psalm 28:6, 7] Help them to know that You will never leave or forsake them. [Hebrews 13:5] “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.” [Isaiah 43:2] We pray You will stretch out Your arms through this family's friends and the Body of Christ to sustain them through this time. “The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.” [Isaiah 58:11]
In Jesus Name, Amen.

Hi, Sarah! I hope you are sleeping peacefully. I know this is probably a tough night for you guys. I am praying that you (and all of your family) will be able to sleep when you can during this time.
I am all new to this "blogging" thing. I found out about your site from Lisa Whelchel's. I love reading what you have been writing, along with BooMama and a couple of others. Although, I must confess that sometimes it is though you all are speaking an entirely different language--I guess it is "Blog-ese!" All of that to say, sorry, I just realized that you responded to my last post to you. I mentioned that I had e-mailed you about my family. Actually, I guess I just commented/posted (not e-mailed) to you--I do not know the correct term . The first one was July 16th--I think your title was "A Prayer Request." I just signed it "Kristi." The second time I posted (and you posted back, I signed it "Kristi from NC." Sorry if this makes no sense. Also, sorry with the timing on this.
If you would like to talk to someone who has gone through something similar to what you are going through, I would love to talk. I do not know how to get my info. to you, though, since I am not an official blogger!
Sorry, again, if I bored you to tears. We are praying for you and your precious baby girl--also for your surgeon, Cardiologist, and all the other nurses.

Beautiful picture of a beautiful little girl! I am lifting you and your family before the Father as your little one has her surgery tomorrow. God blesses in amazing ways. My daughter has a heart defect also. When she was diagnosed at 3 weeks old we were told that less than half of those diagnosed as infants reach their first birthday. She is now nearly four years old, happy, healthy, active and the doctors predict she will never have any problems with her heart. I struggled a lot with wanting to know the statistics and percentages associated with her condition, but God constantly reminded me that I wasn't dependant on odds, but on the omnipotent, gracious, and loving God. He alone could intervene. Praise be to God for the work He does in our lives, and the comfort He gives us as we grow in Christlikeness.

Hi, Sarah. That picture of your baby girl is precious. I found your blog, and I'm a huge fan. I know tomorrow's a big day for you and your family, and I just wanted to share some verses of encouragement.
"Hear my cry, O God: attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I."
-Psalm 61:1,2
"In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength and my refuge is in God. Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us."
-Psalm 62:7,8
I also have a baby girl (4 months old)- first child after 6 years of marriage. The Lord so mercifully gave her to us. My heart goes out to you so much thinking of what your family has gone through and will go through. My heart would definitely be "overwhelmed" right now; I want to encourage you to find your strength in our great God. I am praying for God's mercy in this surgery of hers. And for you as you watch your baby girl go through this time in her life.
love,
sarah

Addison is so adorable!
While she may not be smiling, you can be very thankful that her eyes are open!
For our daughter's 1 month picture she was sound asleep -- either that or she closed her eyes in protest to the flashing! But then again, that is what she looked like at that age! She was a sleepy baby, just waking up to eat, which may be why she gained a pound a week for the first month....
But I digress....
That is a great tip!
