How cute! I wish I had your sewing skills. Your front porch pillows inspired to me take on a pillow of my own - unfortunately, I'm sort of hesitant and still haven't started it yet.

Love that you saved a turtle! Love the skirt- I'd love to say maybe I'll make one for myself, but realistically I won't! *smile*

I think you gave Caiden a sweet lesson in compassion - and I'm sure the turtle was deeply appreciative too!
I love your cute skirt. Sewing is the one bit of needlework that just eludes me. I think of Laura in the Little House books who said sewing made her feel like she was flying to pieces (or something like that).

Do you remember the turtle we had when we lived in Carbondale, and Dad built the box with the little pool for it. We named it Slick, and had it for quite awhile. I think Dan wrote on its back in marker so we could identify it if it got loose.
Love the skirt fabric - very chic! xoxo

Brenda and Dixie, the pattern is from the Hip Skirts collection--it's the Circle Skirt with Waistband. I'm not sure of the manufacturer, but I found mine through googling "Hip Skirts." Enjoy!

We hit a bird the other day and my four year old really want to stop and take it home. Too late for that kind of intervention.
Wish I knew how to sew, a robin's egg blue skirt would be perfect for summer. Since I'm still learning knitting I think I'll wait for the sewing.

Adorable! The skirt and the turtle. I didn't know they had rogue turtles in your neck of the woods.
