Check out the other warrant found at the CBC site. Paragraph 11 mentions that BASI told Minister COLLINS the trip was personal. This is the first time Collins' name is mentioned in the unredacted portions of the warrant. The first, and only, time another minister is mentioned, she is identified as Minister Judith REID. Odd that old Gary isn't given a first name eh?

I am crazy curious about this Bornman person, actually. He's partially redacted out of the warrants because he might be a Crown witness ... he's a law school graduate currently articling in Toronto and he's involved in a case where the accused bribe-taker [i]is accused of taking bribes from him[/i].

That about sums it ArC, I think. And if the statements in the search warrants are correct, it looks like the 'cheques' are pretty darned solid evidence of what you are concluding.....so, you might ask - why are the charges then so 'asymmetric'?
