I'm gonna milk this "links" thing for all it's worth.... it's like this:
I know a guy who knows a retired Hells Angel well enough to buy a bike from him, which (according to Iggy's logic) makes me "linked" to the Angels -- so if we stretch this far enough I am "linked" to Bernier through his biker "linked" ex-girlfriend, and since Bernier is in Cabinet that means I'm also "linked" to the Prime Minister of Canada.
-- that should be worth something.... shouldn't it?
Ya......sure thing.
And in the meantime it keeps Iggy et al. from having to raise real issues about things that actually matter (ie. issues that could force them to actually do something that could lead to crazy, mixed-up democratic things like oh, I dunno having House votes that mean something).
Aye, I made the offer on my blog that if the Liberals were having problems coming up with real questions that Harper and crew could provide partisan non-answers to during Question Period all they needed to do was send me an email -- there was nothing there this morning, an indicator that they probably think they're doing a good job.

Call me naive. Or narrow. Whatever. But I think that if Stockwell & ValOrie Day are happy to go out to Hy's for dinner with Maxime Bernier and somebody who makes the same big mistake TWICE, then who are we to doubt that it's none of OUR business who rides on government aircraft or visits the PM's residence.
It suggests such a comfort-level with Organized Crime that it should be obvious to the whole world that we, too, can be comfortable.

In Question Period today, an Opposition M.P. said that when HE was Minister of Public Safety in a previous government, the RCMP had quietly informed him -- and others -- about the H.A. connections of the lady in question.
So he couldn't quite understand how Maxime Bernier and all his colleagues can now truthfully say "knew nothing".
And oh, how the Harper government laughed and laughed at the idea of how silly it was. Imagine.
Quite a performance.
