Another viewpoint from 16,000 doctors and health care professionals in the US see single payer as the way to go, though.
Something has to be done to break the stranglehold the HMO's, PPO's, pharmaceutical lobbies and insurance lobbies have on the citizens . . . .

I agree that it IS the way to go.
It's just that I don't think that, given the stranglehold that you mention, it can happen in one giant leap for US American Woman/Mankind.
Thus, I'm just agreeing with Dr. Murphy that babysteps are OK (as long as they're going in the right direction).
