Man, that was priceless. You can hang out with this guy?
The shibboleths sure do roll off the Lefties' tongues -- and your buddy has the talking points down like a pro.
Anyway, nice blog.

I went to a Niner's game with a Kerry supporting buddy a couple of weeks ago. He's not voting FOR Kerry either. Just against Bush. Maybe. Anyway, he seemed pretty resigned as well. Hope is dying on the Left but look for hatred and rage to have a flare-up or three before it's all said and done (and after, for that matter). Your friend, sadly, seems to have a serious case of BDS. Here's hoping that he recovers. In any case, there's no excuse for backing out of a bet nine months after the fact. I'm guessing that he would be planning his entree selection right now and not talkeing about keeping the Seahawks' season pristine if Kerry had a 10 point lead in the polls. Some people have no sense of honor.

You should Fisk your buddy's email and send it back to him.
A friend got one much like your buddy's from his brother (who, BTW, sent a copy of it to everyone on his email list). He let me read it and I laughed and said I could Fisk the crap out of it because it was chock full of Mooreonian Moonbatery. He said go for it and he would send it back to his brother. So I did.
The replies from most on the email list was "Way to go!". But the best one was from his brother who replied with a little more then a trying-to-save-face-MOMMY-MAKE-IT-STOP email that he only sent to his brother, not the whole email list as he did with his Moonbat one. So, my friend replied saying "OK, I will stop hitting you with the clue bat" email but her sent it (along with his brothers run up the French battle flag response to the entire email list.

I don't waste my time with people like that any more. Here's why: What is the source of BDS? It's not environmentalism, concern for the economy, or Iraq, or whatever. It's this, the fundemental liberal mantr, clearly expressed in your friends's mantra: "The public is too stupid to rule themselves. We must rule them for their own good." It's a fundemental and very sick lust for absolutel power that distorts everything in their world-view. It's a view that is totally at odds with the concept of democracy. People like that, well, I don't want anything to do with them.

"What do you say to a 63-year-old who is a Michael Moore fan?"
- You gently but firmly point out to him that "its all been done before in a little ditty starring a fearless archeologist and a priceless religeous artifact"...Then you enroll him in a STARs program for aspergers and point him to the registration line for eight year olds....
In a twist on an old saw...
"If you can't back your idea's with a modest wager you lack conviction....If you make the wager and then renege you lack character"....
Btw...you might say "He voted for the bet.....but that was before he voted against it"....see a pattern here maybe.....
