Odette aha those were the good old days! But I figure as long as you keep things simple and intimate, the child will remember the party more instead of being distracted by so many guests and the program. It can be pretty overwhelming for a young kid.
when we were kids, birthday parties mean just me and my 3 other siblings, a cake with candles and ice cream. nyahaha! the most exciting part would be the blowing of candles. ngayon, one big event na talaga, may theme at dress codes pa. whew.

Grabe ang mga kids' parties ngayon!! I'm telling myself I don't want to fall into that trap na masyadong bongga, the little one won't remember them anyway. I hope I remember this when my kid turns 1. LOL.

It's been years since I last attended my friend's children's bday party. These days, I'm most likely to be invited to their kids' 18th bday grand celebration, complete with cotillion and the likes... yipes! Tanda ko na talaga, hehe.
Photocache - times are a-changing from the simple kiddie parties. Now parents outdo each other to come up with grand lavish parties.

from the postings online i see that kiddie parties have been transformed into an event. so different from the ones i know.
D is funny. I hope you still ate even if you're not yet mommy and daddy. I know what you mean about birthday parties. I like simpler ones - that ones where you can just seat with the guests interact and eat.
I have attended a lot of big kiddie parties. I'm sometimes surprised by the lavish preparation.
