Tom, does this mean you 18.42 goats?
I love the idea of keeping goats, but it isn't allowed in the town, and I'm too old to start homesteading. When I looked into it (briefly) someone said, "Keep horses to eat the grass; keep goats to eat everything else."

Yeah, that's pretty much what I've heard as well. Goats work underbrush amazingly well and we have a type here called Woods Goats that were specifically bred to tolerate both the Florida heat and insects well. I'm figuring at first, until the deer ticks are brought under control, the little girls will be unfit for consumption, but I may be wrong.
The horse(s) would be for Capt. C.Vain, which would fufill the last of the three major promises I made to here all those years ago:
A new car? Check.
A vacation? Check.
A Horse? TBA
