Gravatar I'm game!

Gravatar Count me in... Zone 7b maritime PNW home to beautiful gardens and dang good eating!

Gravatar I'll give it a try!

Gravatar Oh, I forgot - I'm in Kentucky, zone 6.

Gravatar Great! Am working on the new page featuring your blogs and hope to have it up early next week with links to your blogs.

I haven't divided the blogs up by zone yet because it looks too crowded. But y'all are up there in alpha order.

Gravatar I'm in! Will rev up this week, just as I'm prepping my garden beds for fall planting.

Gravatar Hi! I love the idea of victory gardening. Anything gardening actually. I post about my vegetable garden on the 16th of each month and periodically during the month. There are already several posts up-do they count? My zone is 6B/7A. It varies depending on what source you consult. Seems like an interesting project.

Gravatar Of course they can count! Maybe you can add a link back to the replicate page on your next post? That would be great. I'll add you to the list.

Gravatar Which link and I will add in a blurb.

Gravatar Okay, I see the link above. I will add it to my veggie post on the 16th.

Gravatar Hey Pam- I've put up my post. Sorry there's not more about my Fall garden there yet (check me in a few months to see if my tomatoes made it lol). I believe you have the link to my blog mistyped tho. I'm not at gardengirl.com, I'm at gardengirl.name

Gravatar Yay! I think I fixed the link, Heather. Sorry for the mistake. - Pamela

Gravatar i planted my first big garden this year - tomatoes, cabbage, peppers, melons. it has changed the scape of my family , my meals and our health. I am completely against this war, and at the same time, I am completely grateful I have the yard and ability and drive to make food for my family. I love this cause, i am encouraged and excited to spread the word. I will definitely blog about this!

Gravatar Great, Starr. Welcome!!

For me "victory" today is about the collective triumph over bad decisions in our recent past. Like not taking care of our environment or our food system in a responsible manner.

For me, "victory" is not tied solely to military efforts.

At the same time, we ARE in a war. And our oil supply is shrinking, putting us in greater danger of further conflict in the global arena. Can you imagine if rather than being told to go shopping after 9/11, we'd been told to dig for victory again?

I fault all our leaders for that...not just the ones in the White House. We blew a real opportunity.

But we can take over now, right? And straighten the sail....

Looking forward to reading your stuff, Starr!
