Thanks for the link! That was an interesting article. My family is learning to live more sustainably - it's been slow going, but we are making slight changes every week in the way we live.

At first glance, this lens may seem that I'm on a tangent again...but if you think of our food dollars as triggering changes at the local level...increasing demand for more sustainable, environmentally-friendly ag practices...then you can think of locavorism, Victory Gardening and other practical-minded efforts as true grassroots activism. In tandem with the political pressure that McWilliams proposes...we could create real change. JMHO.
